I have a post coming soon. I’m just trying to catch up with life—that means bills, work, and such.
The hospital does provide some good blog fodder. Anyway, Dad is hanging in there and giving folks the devil. He told the nurse yesterday that when he leaves he’s not coming back. If he gets sick again, he’s just going on to heaven. I laughed at the shocked look on her face. He’s a trip.
I had a rough day, but I’m rebounding, and I’ll be back. SOON. Maybe even later on today. Promise.
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.
As for the gift, I decided to go with what I made. In fact, I have to finish making it.
Just a few things in case I forget.
What do you think of Obama’s international tour?
How about Soledad O’Brien’s Being Black in America? (It will air again tomorrow and Sunday nights at 8pm EST.)
Did this sudden drop in gas prices fool soothe you?
Let’s catch up on politics for a bit, and I’ll be back to check on you.

Hey, A, my prayers are with you and your family. I know about that hospital thing. First, with my now-deceased sister-in-law and then my dad on Father’s Day (thank God he’s better these days.)
The ObamaramaBabyBobba (affecting my best Boosty Collins voice)Tour: It’s nice that he wants to show the world that America is on the verge of having a new face, but he needs to campaign here at home and concentrate on winning the high office. THEN he can do the world tour as POTUS.
Gas prices: You know it’s bad when you head from the DMV back to NJ, where gas prices are hovering around $3.75 for regular (compared to $4 in the Capital area) and that actually looks good. But I also remember in 1979 when gas prices hit $1 and everyone went crazy. So I try to keep this gas price thing in some perspective.
Black in America: Please read the first paragraph of my July 24 post.
So you didn’t spring for the TomTom GPS device, eh? I’m telling you us guys like toys, especially when they’re practical! LOL!

Glad you are hanging in there… and dad is holding on, we look forward to hearing more.
I was reading this morning how Obama was speaking in front of 200 000 people in Berlin… the man is something, he is what the world needs right now, he is change, i think he is definitely trying to break the racial walls, religious walls, etc
he is flying to London tonight…that should be awesome. though McCain is complaining that the media is biased, well I don’t see him trekking to Afghan or Iraq.
I know there are all sorts of opinions about Obama, but the one I understand more is that, he just happens to be a black man who is about change… and it has nothing to do with black or white, its just about creating a society that is tolerant and accepting to all races, creeds, etc… this tour is showing that. Gosh I hope this man wins.
Cant’ comment much about the rest, as I have no idea what that is all about.
