I’m visiting the DMV, even though I actually live nearby. I’ve granted myself a three month vacation this year, so I’m in town handling some business. I’m using some free wifi, so I’ll give you a quick update.
I have a close family, so when my cousin literally dropped dead last week rather unexpectedly, it threw everyone for a loop. I’m still reeling. There’s a beautiful story behind her life, but I’m not quite up to telling it just yet. It’s a wonderful love story. She and her husband share a birthday.
I offered to do something for a friend, and now I feel like flaking, but said friend seems to be really excited about what I committed to do. Ho hum…I guess I’ll have to go through with it even though I feel like doing little of anything.
I’ve been avoiding the news and am behind on current events? Anything interesting going on in the world that I need to know about? I logged on today and saw that the pope doesn’t wear Prada. I’d say that’s high on the list of things I really don’t need to know.
Since I’ve been away from my summer abode, my dad asks me in each conversation when I’m coming back as if my return date is suddenly going to change and move up. I haven’t decided if he’s forgetting the answer or just subtly dropping hints. He’s fallen since I’ve been gone trying to do some of what he usually harasses me to do. I guess he really does miss me then.
What else?
I’ll be back to hot topics soon. Yall hold it down.

OK, I’m holding it down. As for current events, the Supreme Court voted down a law banning handguns in our nation’s capital. The ruling is the first by the Court regarding the Second Ammendment since sometime in the 1700s.
Thanks anonymous. I’m in DC right now, so I did get wind of this one, and I feel sorry for the poor residents who are feeling terrorized.

ok, wait. allow me to be slow for a minute but what the heck is the DMV?? when you said it in the last post, i thought you were writing a brief blog from your blackberry or something whilst waiting in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
but now i’m wondering if that’s what you mean? you wrote “visiting”…i’m confused and evidently very “special”
i’m very sorry again about the sudden loss of your cousin. no one can prepare for things like that. and sudden blows as such seem to take extra time to heal and get over the disbelief.
keeping you lifted homie.
You’re funny, as usual. DC-MD-VA = DMV. Got it? Good. Now, you know. Gotta learn the shortcuts.
dunno about any current events. i purposely keep myself out of the loop - part of my personal anti-aging regimen.

ohh sorry about your cousin… it does sound like a beautiful love story
current affairs… Mugabe, what else… as we speak holding elections where he is the only candidate, after opposition leader withered due to the widespread killings of his supporters. The UkK tightened sanctions, and the Queen withdrew the knighthood honour they gave to Mugabe a few years ago. The entire international community is enraged, Thabo Mbeki’s silent diplomacy is really out of control. Even his Adfricanm peers are sick of this man.
Mansdela is in London for his Big 90 birthday bash to raise money for iads.
Obama has been accused of misleading Christians… and he was very vocal about corporal punishment for rapists…,
well i know a lot of British news, don’t think u’d be interested in
there is a looming by-election, Gordon brown is not the most popular person after a year of leadership, his indecisiveness for one.
Some Briton was given life for shooting American wife and toddler, they flying to UK.
ohh and the Swedes have approved the law that gives police the right to monitor, calls, e-mails, and faxes going out of the country. They do not need a special permit for that.. probably setting up precedence for the rest of Europe. And I decided to revert back to writing letters
And the traditional Japanese Geisha is making a come back, with a large number of young women going for training.
The French President and his wife had to be escorted from a public speech, when an office committed suicide on their last day somewhere in the Middle East… I can’t remember where.
Oh and Obama has also made a plight to his party and the donors to help Hilary pay the $14 million or so debt she incurred during the campaign.
Monet’s Water pond Lily (Le Bassin aux Nympheasâ) went for over £40 million the other day
Oh this is as far as I can remember…, hope that is enough update, prolly most of it of no interest to you.
OOOOOOOOOOKAY!! Thanks for the international update Shazza!!! Seriously! Now, I feel like I’m back in the know a little bit. Nope, make that a lot of bit.
I can’t believe Sweden is following the US’s lead on the security business. I, too, think I’m about to start writing letters again, and I know of at least one US airport I won’t be using since they are initiating the use of a full body scan. Yes, ma’am, full x-ray vision through my undies. And I always thought my privates were reserved for private moments. Go figure.

how can i grow up to be like you?
you’re always on the move. you are in a different state every time you write a new post, LOL. you are either: A) filthy stinkin rich. B) in the secret service or the mob; or C)an national (and international) playette with menz all over these united states.
alls i’m saying, how can i get down? ;-D
Girl, stop. If you only knew. I hope to be in a different locale next week as well, but I’ll have to let you know how that goes. And let’s go with D) just trying to maintain and keep up with my family. I wish A were the case. I’m working on it. Gotta aim high, right?
