Sooo High

That’s exactly how I feel today. I haven’t been at my best physically the past two or three days, but TODAY? Ohhh, boy!!!

I am filled with excitement and anticipation about tomorrow! Even though I have a 12 hour drive ahead, I can’t wait to pull up under my momma’s table and look at my dad in his face. He’s been so sick lately that I am just glad that he is here, so even if I were still not well, I’d be finding my way to that table because at least this year, he’s here. I already miss the man he used to be as his illness has changed him so rapidly. He’s dangerously underweight and quite feeble, but he refuses to stop living. He is my inspiration as much as try to make him sit down somewhere.

My mom is my hero because without her I wouldn’t be able to live as I’m living now. She completely supervises my father’s care and insists that I keep my job and do as much as I can do professionally to see just how far I can make it. She wants the best for me, and me coming home to take care of my dad is out of the question as far as she’s concerned. She’s holding it down. I am grateful for the two of them.

We may have plans, but God always has one better. I could not be more blessed than to have been chosen by and placed with the absolute best family for me. Today of all days my life feels like a fairy tale. I have my health, I have my family; therefore, I have extreme wealth. I have love.

  1. Hope you had a great holiday.

You are wealthy beyond measure. I’m glad that’s so and that you recognise what’s really important. Good for you.
